Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Meet your driver at your hotel or riad in Marrakech and depart early morning.
Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and enjoy panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages.
Visit the historic Telouet Kasbah, former residence of Pasha Glaoui.
Lunch in a local spot, then continue along the scenic Ounila Valley, passing traditional Berber villages.
Arrive at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and stroll through its charming alleys, famous for countless international films.
End the day in Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “Cinema City,”
for an overnight stay in a comfortable guesthouse with dinner included.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – M’hamid – Erg Chegaga
Departure from Ouarzazate at 08:00 AM in your 4×4, driving through the lush Draa Valley, dotted with palm groves, family gardens, and charming villages.
Stop in Tamgroute to explore pottery workshops and, if interested, the historic Quranic library.
Continue to M’hamid, where you will enjoy lunch at the bivouac amid the first desert dunes.
In the afternoon, drive to the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes and climb the tallest dune to watch a breathtaking sunset over the Sahara.
Evening dinner and overnight stay at a luxury desert bivouac lodge.
Day 3: Desert Exploration – Erg Chegaga – Mohet Solah Oasis – Chegaga
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a 4×4 desert adventure across the dunes, enjoying a picnic amid the vast Sahara landscapes.
Return to the bivouac for rest, then take a camel ride at sunset to admire the dunes bathed in golden light.
Evening entertainment under the stars with traditional music and a luxury dinner.
Overnight at the bivouac lodge.
Day 4: Erg Chegaga – Lake Iriki – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
Depart the dunes in the morning along the vast sands and dried riverbeds of Lake Iriki, passing through the rocky hamada landscapes to reach Foum Zguid.
Drive onward to Taznakht, then continue via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon at your hotel.
